Joan Fleming Carlson passed away in November at the age of 87. She was born in Brilliant, Ohio and lived there throughout her young adult life. She eventually moved to Washington State where she lived until her death. She was greatly loved by her son and daughter, including their families and her six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who all knew her as “Nanny”.
She was blessed by frequent visits from her niece from Ohio who helped her stay in touch with her Buckeye roots. During her later years, she enjoyed home-grown flowers from her daughter, trips to Starbucks, visits and cards from her loved ones as well as car rides to roam and reminisce.
We extend heartfelt appreciation to her “family” staff at Overlake Terrace for all the care she received from each of them.
We all love her very much and will miss her dearly.
