Ricky lived most of his life in the Pacific Northwest, primarily in Redmond and Bellevue, Washington. He studied Horticulture and had a deep love for plants and trees, finding peace and purpose in nature.
Throughout his life, Ricky faced many physical challenges, which he met with remarkable resilience, determination, and hard work. He never allowed those challenges to define him. Those who knew him admired his perseverance and quiet strength.
Ricky had a wonderful sense of humor and a playful spark. His family especially treasured the twinkle in his eye that seemed to say, “I got you,” a look that often came with a smile after a funny quip. It was a part of him that brought warmth and connection to those around him.
An animal lover, Ricky shared his life with many pets. His dog, “Bubbles,” and his cat, “Maya,” were his favorite companions and brought him great joy.
He is survived by his mother, Alexa Munoz; his father, Raul Munoz; his stepmother, Katie Munoz; his younger siblings, Maury Munoz and Madelyn Haigh; and his brother-in-law, Joe Haigh.
Ricky was deeply loved and will be remembered for his strength, kindness, humor, and the love he shared so freely. He will be profoundly missed.
He now rests where all things grow
Surrounded by the trees he loved so dearly
And we will feel his presence
In every flower, every leaf, and every tree
We who knew him feel comfort
In the memories
Of his strength, his humor, his perseverance
And most of all
In the love we shared together
