

Earl was born in Detroit, Michigan and served in the U.S. Army. He was a parole officer for roughly 30 years. His life revolved around service to our community, his family and friends; preferably without recognition. Earl married Julie Dorr (1929-1996) in 1981. He later married Aizhen Yang in 2003, and chose her nickname Alice. He was a truly devoted husband to both.
He joined the Kiwanis in 1980 and served in many Board positions including President and long term Secretary and Membership Chair. Earl continued to be a key Board member and financial supporter of Project Touch - a former organization for troubled youth that Julie Feys helped establish. He organized and managed a baby furniture loan program, was Past President of the Hermosa Beach Sister City Association and a supporter of many other organizations. He was named Hermosa Beach Man of the Year in 2001 and has received many awards. The Feys attended St. Cross Episcopal Church in Hermosa Beach.
Earl was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth Feys (nee Laszlo) and Charles C. Feys, and his first wife Julie. He is survived by his wife Aizhen Feys (nee Yang), his step-daughter Belinda White (Garrett), grandchildren Ryden & Zinnia, his sisters Kathy Burns and Mary King, and his niece Bonnie Myers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club, Memorial Scholarship Fund.
