Larry Howard Piersa

Larry was born in Franklin Virginia on March 22, 1947 to Chester and Annie Piersa. He joined the United State Air Force in 1968 and served for 23 years and retired. In 1993, he was hired by Delta Airlines and worked for 27 years. Since he had the journalism training in the Air Force. He was so proud to be chosen as a Communication Leader at Delta Airlines.

Larry enjoyed helping his wife Shu (Teresa) doing volunteer works for True Buddha School, also enjoyed attending many Buddhist Ceremonies in Seattle. Larry loved watching his favorite sports teams Seattle Mariners & Seahawks ballgames.

Larry dedicated his life to his family and his passion for creative writings called laRryWisim’s, created and posted on Facebook the last 15 years. Within the last few years, he also created and posted a modern day take on the Chinese Confucious sayings, which he called WCMHS (What Confucius Might Have Said). Throw in some poems and song lyrics he had written and we had an assortment of his creations. His infectious laughter and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shu Piersa (Teresa); his daughter, Stacey Piersa of Redondo Beach, California. Larry’s marriage to Shu (Teresa) 52 years.

There will be a 9:30-10:30 AM funeral service on February 26th at "Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions-Rice Center" located at 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503.
