  If we measure life by how many people we love and love us back, Erin passed a rich man. He touched so many lives. How do I fill a void in my heart after losing someone that I've known and loved for 40 years? I thank Erin for being a great husband to my sister, a loving father to my nieces, and a fun and loving grandpa to my great niece.
  I've been known as the family comedian, but I think Erin had the quickest wit and the best since of humor. We shared some great laughs together. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

It always put a smile on our faces when we saw Erin and his dog coming to support someone....he was kind and loving and so creative...he will be missed...we pray for him and his family...Phil & Marnie Poms

"My brother from another mother" Even though I only met Erin in person a couple of years ago, I felt like I knew him my whole life. I will miss his voice mail messages, they brought a smile to my face every time. I can't imagine this loss for your family. What an awesome husband, father and grandpa he must have been. I hope to see Erin again.

I've been blessed to call the Lucien family my friends since 1987, over half of my life, and though we haven't always seen each other frequently since I move to LA in 1994, not very many days pass without a memory of the wonderful 6 years I lived in their studio, or of the many good times we have shared since.  Endless hands of pinochle, late night donut runs, redeye in Reno, Memorial Park, 49ers games, riding tricycles down Cleveland St, just chewing the fat, Danielle's wedding, and the umpteenth 4th of July.  

Oh, and those physically grueling Disneyland marathons.  Man, Erin could make those teacups spin.

I hope Erin knew how much I loved and respected him, it is so sadly true that we don't know what we have till its gone.  Erin was one of the kindest, gentlest, funniest, and deeply caring people I will ever know.  Even when he struggled through back pain, migraines, and, finally cancer, he was ready with a smile, an upbeat thought, and concern for the comfort and happiness of his family and many friends.   How I would like to hear him say Hey Timmy, What's doing?, share a laugh, and see one of his crazy amazing projects.  

I will miss you, Erin, godspeed.

Who could make everyone in a room feel like the most interesting and important person in the world? You, Erin. I am so grateful to have known such genuine goodness. Thank you for making the world a better place and leading by example: Laugh as often as possible, be Kind to everyone and Love with all you've got. You are so loved and appreciated.

My son and I always knew Erin as cheerful and easy to talk with.... words that easily come to mind are kind, patient, down to earth, creative, innovative among the few.  His stories and great ideas for building, fixing, or inventing were always interesting. Spending time with the Lucien's during game nights and snow trips are special memories.  Erin will be fondly remembered as a one of a kind spirit who loved and adored his family!
My heart goes out to you Bev, Chris, Michelle, Danielle and Ashley and may you find comfort in the love you have for each other and the very special memories you share.  Thinking of you so much with my deepest sympathy.

I am totally shocked by Erin's pass away!!! Still remember a few years ago, Bev shared with me on Erin's masterpiece on Halloween decoration, yearly cruse travel all around, and hand-made unique dressing for the youngest daughter's wedding... I can deeply feel your love for your family and the society and the community... Now you are in God's arms peacefully but people will remember all you have brought to us!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Erin.  I only was able to talk to Erin a couple of times. What I knew of Erin was mostly through the stories Bev told me and the amazing wedding dress that he made for his daughter what an amazing thing for a father to do.  His children were so blessed to have a father like him.  I remember Bev showing me beautiful pictures of the house and the landscaping.  He was so talented in so many ways. When I was a kid I was frequently reminded by my parents: "Life ain't fair.  Get used to it."  I guess I still haven't learned that lesson when I think about Erin.  Why is it creeps and jerks walk the earth until old age when truly good, really lovely people like Erin don't get that chance?  Life ain't fair, that's for sure. What a loss.  Sue and Walter

So, Erin and I took out the trash on a dark summer evening at our home in DC, opened the lid, and out popped a surprised raccoon!!  As  always, Erin was unfazed...raccoons, dragons, wedding dresses, pet water stops--always creative and welcoming; and then the bravery of the last two years. What can you say about a man who can build a house and build a Dragon, sew a wedding dress and make a doggy diner. A man of incredible talents, love and compassion. We and the world lost an epic Hero.

I was lucky enough to meet Erin by marrying into the family. He was a great man that always put his children and family first. He remained a kid at heart, even under the worst of conditions. I will miss him dearly and he will always be in my thoughts and heart. Rest easily Erin! You can be proud of the legacy you have left behind.

Erin was so caring and so cheerful. You could always count on a Hey how ya doing greeting. Those are the kind of things that he will be remembered for. It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push away the pain and bring back the smiles. Erin will be missed but never forgotten. Our prayers go out to Bev and the family at this most difficult time.
