1916-2012
Resident of Woodside
On Monday, 09/17/2012, a new angel entered the gates of heaven. Louise Anita Robertson lived a full and beautiful life before passing away. She was born in San Francisco on October 13, 1916, to Peter and Ida Pariani. She was born a Catholic, and remained true to God. She was proud to be a native San Franciscan and an Italian.
In 1937, while working at the first Walgreen Agency in San Francisco, she met the love of her life, Dr. Quinton R. Robertson (Bob). And on July 7, 1940, they were married.
Together they shared 72 years, building a wonderful life for their family. Louise was a successful cosmetic sales representative in the 1940's, where she won trips to the east coast for her sales at the Owl-Sontag Drug Store in San Francisco. She possessed such an appealing charm and personality, that any recommendation to her customers was received with joyful approval. She worked in the pharmacy while Bob (also working at the pharmacy) went to Dental School. She did all this while raising her first child. She had her second child when Bob graduated from Dental School. Together they opened a dental practice in the Marina district in San Francisco.
After having their third child, they decided to move the family and dental practice to San Mateo. There, she worked as an office manager and assistant to her husband, and established a very successful Family Dental practice. She took the children to school, worked the dental office, and then picked up her "kids" after school. She always provided home cooked meals. She was constantly there for her husband and children. She was the pillar of the family. She nourished and encouraged her children's talents. Louise enjoyed going on vacation at Pine Crest and Clearlake. While keeping the office in San Mateo, they moved the family to Portola Valley, so the children could enjoy the outdoors more, and learn to horseback ride.
When the kids left the nest, she and Bob retired and moved into her late parent's home in Woodside. There, she always welcomed family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking her mother's special secret Italian gravy. She was a fan of the Giants, Forty-Niners, and Cal Bears.
In 1981, Louise and Bob traveled through Europe, before reuniting with relatives in Italy (Milan and San Macario).
Louise is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Bob; Their three children: Ronald (Lilie), Carolyn Frohlich (Gary), Donald (Pam); two grandchildren: Daniel Frohlich (Jen), Nikki Bryant (Collin); two great grandchildren Hunter and Hayden Bryant. Louise was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Doran.
As usual, she is preparing the way for her family to be together again. Mom, you are already sorely missed. But we know you are always with us and watching over us. God bless you, and thank you for being our MOM.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, September 23rd from 5:00 to 9:00PM with a vigil at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held on 09/24/2012 at the Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Rd, Redwood City at 11:00AM. Burial to follow at the Alta Mesa Memorial Park, 695 Arastradero Rd Palo Alto, CA.
