I have a lot of memories with my dad. I remember when he'd come to my Mushum & Kokum's in Regina when I was small. One time after a pow wow he came to the house, I think close to noon, not sure. I got so happy to see him I went down stairs to open the door for him. He looked at me and began to chuckle, I knew he as laughing at me tho, I had a dang swollen eye from the day before because I got stung by a bee. I was standing there laughing also because here I was tryna force my eye to open wider but couldn't  . I wonder if Aunty Eileen remembers that? I also had to learn how to change a tire, if I asked him to borrow his car, he'd say, "you gotta change the tire first" lol and I would, but he always checked to make sure I tightened the bolts rite. Or when Sam was a baby, he used to come to my lil apartment & always ask if I had any soup n bannock, he sure liked to snack when he'd come & visit us. Plus he would make sure I had enough grub for me n baby. I have so many memories of him... I Loved my dad so much. Miss you muchly pops. If I knew how, I'd add a pic...or few


From the stories I hear and read. Your a loving, caring old man. The best. That you are! 
I have 2 memories I'd love to share with you that I can remember. 
"The dust, the air... it was simple just an ordinary day till you rolled up. Had me and the bro come for a long cruise. Reunited us kids then. You know; the pens and the pocket booklets. It was the day we were going to see our birth moms. No doubt about it, it was exciting for awhile. Had us crazy kids in the back & not just the back seat Lol the way, way back. laughing and exchanging stories about each others lives and how much we missed. Believed it was a Volkswagen? Hmm.. still can't put my foot on it. But it had a hatch in the back to open. Let the crazies out! Haha only kidding. We were pretty obnoxious kids in those days. After that. Everything is just Cloudy."
Last but not least. Remember the time I got the police to call you.... because oops... my bad. I was in the worst case scenario at the time and saved me from getting my vehicle taken. It was kinda funny trying to teach you how to drive my standard when I wasn't capable of giving the instructions at that exact moment myself. But you saved me. 🙏🤘 keep it heavenly Gramps!! Love you. 

Was saddened when I heard you left this world for the next. I worked with Gerald nearly 15 years ago. His smile & easy going nature is what stayed with me, very kind & special kind of man. Much love & respect Gerald, I'll place some tobacco down for you. 

A lot of great memories with Grandpa 😘 He was fresh guy that’s for sure,  smelling  like zest soap, his baby powder in his shoes. His hair always looking slick.  He had the best smile. Making me porridge every morning when I was pregnant with my firstborn  Cain. Stopping by with bread and milk always 😘 He loved his family dearly. He never would push anyone away no matter what drunk, sober or on another level! Family vacations. His voice. 😘Taking us for dinner when we were kids every pay day. Going to pow wows, sweats, the beach. He was so independent. When he made me my first necklace when I was a kid. His classic frying us hamburgers and  making pancakes. 😘😘😘Loved how he would try to smoke , lol and he wouldn’t even in hale 🤨😉 I would bug him and say “you don’t even know how to smoke!” Hahah he give me his cute smile. 💕We used to go picking berries, go for walks on the Rez. Let me drive in the back roads.  He couldn’t even get mad at us he would raise his fork to chill us up. Waiting in the car sometimes when he would play machines. He loved the Casino. Awee, when it came bingo time he would sponser me 😁 Always asked me about my man and kids. 😘 He new I found the the right man for my life.  I’ll remember our last meal together kfc and him feeding his dog Jasmine. He loved his dogs, but sometimes we would go ditch some on other reserves cuz they would have more pups, he would wait till there where bigger though 😌 We are going to miss you so much Grandpa, you where my hero! It’s hard to let you go, we will see each other another time right. I love you see you later 😘  A picture of Zendaya my baby u didn’t meet yet. 

When he used to take me sweetgrass picking in the fields on little black bear when I was just a young kid . And then him sitting on the corner of the table braiding the dried sweetgrass looking young and in his prime. He was such a good man. I love my grandpa so much. 💓
