Anita Lonethunder of Oceanman First Nation, passed away on Monday February 27, 2023 at the age of 60 years. She was born in Fort QuAppelle on August 12, 1962. She was predeceased by her parents Valerie Lonethunder and Ernie McArthur; grandparents Lucy and John Lonethunder; brothers and sisters Lorraine Lonethunder, Darcy Lonethunder, Arnold Lonethunder, Norman Lonethunder, and Phillip Lonethunder. She is survived by her common-law spouse Raymond Nabexie; children Teresa Kakakaway, Sherry Kakakaway, Robert Kakakaway, Tamara Lonethunder, and Travis Lonethunder, sisters Leona Lonethunder, Holly Lonechild, and Hailey Lonechild; brothers Raymond and Michael Lonethunder, and numerous grandchildren and other relatives. Anita enjoyed visits from her kids, grandchildren, and other family members. A Wake will be held for Anita on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at White Bear Community Hall. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at White Bear Community Hall. Anita will be laid to rest at the Standingready Cemetery following her service.
