Dolores Brooks

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dolores Brooks. Dolores passed away peacefully at Regina Sunset Extendicare at the age of 78 on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt to those who loved her. Dolores will be forever remembered not only for her smile and laughter but also her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald “Ron” Brooks (1938-2014); parents Christine Dangstorp (1905-1996) and Bjarne Dangstorp (1905 - 1980); brother Donald Dangstorp (1933-1935), sister-in-law Evelyn (Stan) Finch and brother-in-law George Rathwell.

Dolores is survived by her daughter Tracy, grandchildren: Chris (Krista) and great-granddaughter Charlee, Derek (Marissa), Ashly (Justice) and great-grandson Urijah, sister Ivy (Ray) and family; sister-in-law Pat and family; and close friends. The Brooks family wishes to thank the staff of the Regina Sunset Extendicare for their excellent care for Dolores. At Dolores’ request there will not be a funeral service. A gathering of friends and family will take place at a later date for a celebration of life.
