

Edna Wagner passed away August 2, 2014 at the Cupar & District Nursing Home (Shalom) at the age of 93. Edna was born February 28, 1921 in the Wheatwyn School District south of Markinch, to Henry and Mary Orb. She married John Wagner on October 4, 1946, and they had two children, Larry and Judy. For 32 years, they farmed fifteen miles south of Cupar. In 1978 they moved to Cupar where they lived for 23 years before John’s death in 2001. Edna spent the last four years of her life at Shalom in Cupar. The family wishes to extend our gratitude for the loving care she received there. Edna Wagner is predeceased by her husband John Wagner, parents Henry and Mary Orb, in-laws Pauline and Karl Wagner, her sister Dorothy Hassman, brothers Ernest and Arnold Orb, sister-in-law Regina Orb, and brothers-in-law Ron Jeworski, Jake Wagner, Henry Wagner, and Pete Friesen. She is survived by her son Larry (Susan) Wagner, daughter Judy (Warren) Reynolds, grandchildren Danny (Nicky) Wagner, Nikki (Jason) Huber, Dana Reynolds and Rachel Reynolds, great-granddaughters Jordyn Huber and Peyton Wagner. Also left to remember Edna are her sister Ruth Jeworski, brother Harold (Betty) Orb, sisters-in-law Elsie Orb, Darlene Wagner, Gerry Wagner, Eva Friesen-Symington, Emma (Ron) Clark, Elsie (John) Hugel, Doreen Creaser, Agnes (Lawrence) Ross, Alma (Alan) Mohr, brothers-in-law Philip (Luella) Wagner, David (Judy) Wagner, Larry Wagner, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cupar, Sask., Friday August 8, 2014 at 2 pm. Following the interment at Wheatwyn Cemetery, guests are invited to join the family for lunch and fellowship in the St. Paul church basement in Cupar. Flowers gratefully declined.
