It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Friesen at the age of 70. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years John Friesen in 2006. Betty is survived by her children Les (Rhonda), Bev (Tim) and Jenn (Rob) as well as the five grandchildren Riley (19), Taylor (16), Payton (15), Mason (14), and Vander (11) that were the loves of her life. Betty had an impact on everyone she met. Her door was always open and she was a friend to all. Betty carried the most positive spirit in every situation and possessed one of the kindest hearts you will ever find. Her extended family included many children that she babysat over the years. Simply known as Grandma or Auntie Betty, she loved them all, cherishing the time and memories she had with all her "little people". Among her favorite things were cheering on the Riders, never turning down and ice cream, attending Craven with her friends or going to dances. Betty never missed the chance to see one of the grandchildren's activities or sporting events and made every time at Grandma's house filled with fun, laughter and love. Hi say to Dad and give him a big hug from us! Service for Betty's final party will be held, Thursday, June 4, 1:00 p.m. at the Victoria Avenue Funeral Home on 2080 East Victoria Ave. Love your family.
