Frank Joseph Lucas

On Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 Frank peacefully left us to be re-united with his beloved wife Mary at the age of 88 at the Cupar & District Nursing Home. Frank was born on the Lucas farm north of Cupar on November 18th, 1923. He married Mary Benko on July 6th, 1949 and they resided on the Lucas farm in the St. Elizabeth district until they decided to retire to the town of Cupar. Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents Steve and Katie, stepbrothers Steve and Vendel, sister Helen and an infant son at birth. He will be lovingly remembered by his only daughter Marian (Paul) Cybulski and grandson Lane whom he was so very proud of. He is survived by his sisters Mary Chernick and Matilda Vass as well as numerous nephews and nieces. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Cupar and District Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Dad during his residence there. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Cupar, Sask. with Fr. Francis Plaparampil as celebrant. Interment to follow in the Cupar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Safe Walk Program c/o The Cupar and District Nursing Home, 213 Mills Street, Cupar, SK.
