George William Wagner

With great sadness, the Wagner family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, George on November 16, 2011 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by son Brian (1974); parents Zack & Margaret; brothers Joe, Roy, Kasper, Pete & Al; sisters Mary, Fanny, Kay and Rose. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 61 years, Marmy; family Laurie (Tammy), Bonnie (Bob Cowen), Pat (Yvonne), Bernie (Frank Gaucher) and daughter-in-law Susan; 10 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren, also by brother Tony & sister Emily. George loved curling, hunting, fishing and his motor home but always his first love was his family and time with them. He was a faithful member of St. Cecilia Church and an honorary member of the K.C. Father Burns Council. Prayers will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 7:30 PM at St. Cecilia Church. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Cecilia Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundations, 279 - 3rd Ave N. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 2H8.
