Dad was born on June 10, 1930 on the farm, which he loved dearly. In 1954, he married Mom, Loretta Kuffner and together they had 4 daughters. Dad was taking NO chances on another girl and that is how Darryl came into our lives. Dad worked various jobs but settled into an electrician position for many years. He loved building things and you would always hear him singing or whistling loudly, just like the seven dwarves as he worked. He loved to sing! His other passion was cooking, which lead to them owning the Lazy Acres Motel, where their guests loves his ‘unique’ dishes. After retiring, Dad was always there to lend a helping hand to us (or anyone) that needed it! After the work was done there was always time for some Lamb’s and Pepsi cheer. He took great joy in visiting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always had interesting stories to tell them and words of wisdom for them. Dad wants everyone to enjoy and raise a toast to him! He is at peace now and Mom, Eunice, Janice and Darryl are all there with him again. Enjoy your time with them, Dad, and let them know that we love and miss you all! Thank you to the staff, especially Halwo (his favourite), of JD and C Care Home for their care and attention; it is much appreciated.
