

Lilly passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the age of 93 in the Rosthern Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Lorraine (Clifford) Ganshorn, Arlene (Brian) Kembel, and Carol (Robert) Barbour. She will be sorely missed by her nine grandchildren; Carman Ganshorn, Grace (David) Drever, W. Phillip (Krista) Ganshorn, Lee Kembel, Kris (Joanne) Kembel, Kevin (Lorena) Kembel, Jamie (Yana) Kembel, Carlena (Carey) Scriven, and Philip (Bobby-Ann) Barbour; eight great-grandchildren; Allyson and Owen Drever, Eli and Tobias Ganshorn, Raelia and Everett Scriven and Oliver and Elise Kembel; as well as sisters Phyllis Kopen and Erma Bartlam; sister-in-law Phyllis Frier; brother-in-law Geoff Bartlam and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lil’s pride and joy was her family. She loved to bake and decorate cakes for family celebrations. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and embroidery. Lil was predeceased by her husband John Schmidt; parents Sophie and Reinhold Frier; and brother Gary. Funeral Service will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
