It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion Danyliw on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Marion was born in Holdfast, SK on October 28, 1932 to John and Rose Anheliger. She was predeceased by her husband George; sons Douglas and Darrell; daughter-in-law Dianne; brother Joe; and her special friend Clarence Caplette. She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Brian) Ellis, Darlene Danyliw, and Delores (Mike) Kokoski; her special grandson Mathew (Rose) Danyliw; grandchildren Carla (Curt), Cory (Shayla), Derek (Lauren), Craig (Chelsea), April, Brandon (Illya) and Taylor; as well as eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister Bernie (Jeff) Lane; sister-in-law Carrie Anheliger; nieces, nephews and cousins; and her good friend Don Pankewich. Mom spent her married years on the family farm near Lumsden, SK with George, raising their children. Her passion was her flowers and her garden. Anyone who visited the farm always had to have a tour. Mom left the family farm after George’s passing and moved to Regina where she continued to lead a very active lifestyle. Mom loved to dance, play her accordion, cook, and took an interest in genealogy all up until her stroke in 2018. She was very proud of the history books she authored for our family. A special thanks to the staff at Brightwater Senior Living, especially her “little pumpkin” (Dielin) for her care during her stay. As per Mom’s request, there will be private graveside service. Donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
