With great sadness that we announce the passing of “Wambdi Ob Kiya” on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Maple and Florence (Perreault) siblings; Albert, Fred, Robert, Emily, Arlene (Jean), Yvonne and Mary; uncles and aunts, Louise Malbeuf, Rosealma Gray, Paul Perreault, George Perreault, Angus Maple, Joe Maple, Paul Leader, Steve Moonface, and; grandchildren Avery Musqua and grandchildren in infancy; close friends Eugene Ryder, Bernard Tapaquon, Glen Anaquod, Larry Anaquod, Art Redman. Maurice is survived by his children and grandchildren, Damon (Neepy); Bryanna, Autumn, Don, Kory, Washtay, Alicia; Jon; Teanna, Dmitra, Wakiyan, Pejuta, Tashunka; Amanda; Mercedes, Pankē Ska Win, Tristan, Lakelyn, Sebastian; Amy; Elijah. Survived by his siblings, Buds, Vince, Gordy, Raymond, Ross, Arlene, Pauline and Paulette. God daughter Angel Coutu. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital and special thank you to “Papa’s friends.” Traditional Wake will be held at the Standing Buffalo School Gym on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Service on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Children are welcome to attend.
