Michael was born in Cupar, SK on February 19, 1940 to parents Frank and Johanna.
He was predeceased by his daughter Terri Dawn; parents Frank and Johanna; brother John; sisters Annie, Katherine and Helen; and sister in law Margot Gerrard in May of this year.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Elaine; his son Gregory; grandson Nathan and granddaughter Caitlyn; his three sisters Irene Williams in Calgary, Mary (Jack) Hoffart of Swift Current, and Ida (Elmer) in Ft. Qu’Appelle; his younger brothers William (Maryann) of Regina, Andy (Lyn) of Saskatoon and Tony (Patti) of Regina; his brothers in law Wayne (Darlene) Giesbrecht of Vibank, Gerald (Cheryl) Giesbrecht of Regina; his two guardian angels Patricia Newman and Marilyn Siebel of Regina and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus and spent most of his retirement years volunteering, fishing and nurturing his flower beds and apple tree. Cards and casino were great pastimes too.
At Michael's request there will be no service. Michael will be cremated and his ashes will be spread at his favourite place.
