

Nick was born November 26, 1929 on a farm 3 miles south of Norquay, Sk.
Nick was a wonderful, gentle and kind husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
His smile was infectious and always lit up a room.
He was one of 14 children born and was predeceased by his parents John and Esther Markewich; Sisters Anne, Olga, Elizabeth, Mary and Helen; and brothers William, Joe, Mike, Paul, Metro and Steve.
Nick is survived by his wife Jane and their children Robert (Shelley), Kelly, Mark, Janice (Dave Sinclair), and James (Cheryl); he is also survived by his sisters Sophie (John Knittig), and Veronica; sister-in-law Jean Markewich; also survived by brothers-in-law Rudy (Dorthey), Ed (Fran), Alf (Marlene), Bernie (Elaine); grandchildren Bobbie, Nicole, Curtis, Alyssa, Stefanie, Ashley, Tanner, Brett, Jared and Jennifer; and great-grand children Daniel, Anika, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Lauren, Maddox, Beckett, Cruz, Alexander, Brynley, Makayla, Chloe, Jayce, Weston and Tessa.

Nick married the love of his life, Jane, 68 years ago. After moving to Regina, Nick worked for the Regina Transit System for almost 33 years. Nick was a member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed curling, woodworking, RV traveling, camping and spending time with family.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church located at 55 McMurchy Ave. Regina, Sk. starting at 7:00pm.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 11:00am, at the same location. Interment to take place on Monday January 29, 2024 at Riverside Memorial Cemetery at 2:00pm.
