Robert Peter Schick

We sadly announce that Robert Schick passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK on Sunday, June 20th, 2021, at age 78, following a lengthy illness. Bob was the second child of Agnes and Peter Schick. Born in Regina, the family moved to Thunder Bay, ONT where Bob made friendships that lasted a lifetime. He loved camping and fishing, and he found his real calling when he became a nurse. Bob was one of only a few men to enter that profession in the 1960’s. He worked in medical and rehabilitative nursing, both in Thunder Bay and in Regina. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Barry; and his beloved aunt Sophie. Surviving him are his son Peter (Shelly); daughter Marie; and is remembered by their mother Jeanette; his brother Tom Schick (Kathy); sister Heather Nagy; and many other relatives. Special thanks to his cousin, Marty Krause, who gave Bob strength and support during his final days, and his neighbours Joe Hersche and Carol Sudom for their limitless care and assistance. We also want to acknowledge the wonderful care provided by the nurses on 5D, M.S.U., and 4A, especially Dr. Vandermeulin and Nurse Chelsea at the Pasqua hospital. As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no services, and cremation has taken place. We will miss that booming voice and that mischievous smile. Goodbye, Bob. Until we meet again.
