With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tania Lynn Oakes Alexson. On January 15, 2025 at the young age of 41, she was sadly taken from us. Tania was a strong and loving mother in every sense, facing life’s hardest challenges with the strength of a warrior. She worked hard as a member of the Piapot Creeland Minimart here in Regina. She was also taking up courses in the trades such as carpentry and welding.
Tania was loved and cared for by many. Her spirit will live on through her daughters Jinell, Alexis, and Mackenzie; sons JJ and Luca; mother Glenace Fraser (Darcy); aunties Donna and Shelly (Loni); father Clairence Oakes (Ann); auntie Linda; brothers Craig, Terence, and Trevor (Kayla); stepsisters Mary-Ann, Sandra, and Shirley; she also leaves behind many other relatives from both the Nekaneet and Kahkewistahaw First Nations.
Tania was predeceased by her kohkums Amelia Ironeagle and Josephine Oakes (Gordon Pelletier); sister Shannace; and stepsister Monica.
