

1922 - 2015
Theresa passed peacefully at home with her devoted husband of 72 years, Adam, and her family by her bedside on March 13. She was the last of fourteen siblings. She was predeceased by her grandson, Todd Huber. Left to celebrate her life is Adam and their children: Jim (Elaine), Joanne (Larry), Maureen (Michael), Brian ( Janette), also grandchildren: Paul (Tanis), Brett (Kristi), Ryan and Renee, as well as great grandchildren: Jackson, Keaton and Charlotte. Theresa was born and lived with her family on the farm in Kronsberg district near Dysart, SK., which is also where she fell in love with and married Adam on December 26, 1942 while Adam was home on leave. They travelled together across Canada while Adam was in the Airforce. They lived in Victoria, Bella Bella, BC, and Montreal during those first few years of marriage. After Adam left the Airforce, they moved back to Saskatchewan and lived in Jansen and Prelate before settling in Regina. Theresa loved family gatherings, often contributing meals and baking. Theresa and Adam also enjoyed time with the many friends they made over the years. They were avid dancers including 42 years of square dancing. They also played cards; Theresa especially loved playing Bridge. Theresa was a renowned baker, and often entertained the community priests for meals. Theresa was a very social person, loved meeting new people, learning about their families, and remembered every detail about them. Theresa and Adam spent 11 of their retirement years in Benson Manor and for the past six months in Marie Manor Care Home. Theresa was a Past President of St Cecelia’s CWL as well as an honourary life member.
