She was born in Birch River, Manitoba on August 10, 1936. She was predeceased by her husband Norman, granddaughter Jacey Wourms, parents Alice and William Galbraith, brothers Elmer, Lou, Norman and Eddie Galbraith and sister Margie.
She is survived by daughters Linda (Ron), Debbie (Art), son Mark (Michelle), sisters Jean, Hazel and Mary, brother Ronnie, grandchildren Jolene (James), Jennifer (Lance), Tyler (Jackie), Dane (Jenna), Jefferson, Eden (Sam), great-grandchildren Aspen, Gage and Hayden.
Velma enjoyed travelling with her husband Norman and friends Martin and Adelle. She loved spending time celebrating life with her family and many friends. In Velma’s retirement she also enjoyed volunteering at the Marian Centre. Velma also participated with her many friends and staff at the Renaissance center.
