

The family of Vesna Morris are sad to announce her passing on Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents Luka and Danica Dragicevic. Vesna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years Tracy Morris; children Joshua (Megan) Morris and Mathew (Dana) Morris; grandchild Avery; Sibling Boris Dragicevic (Donna); in-laws Donna Kish, Carol and Glen Mintzler and Darren and Debbie Morris; nieces and nephews Nikolas, Mia and Lukas, Kristine, Geraldine (Aaron) and Eric (Brenda), Chad (Shelley) and Tanis, and Brandon and Danton; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
In 1973, Vesna emigrated from Croatia to Moose Jaw, SK. From Moose Jaw they moved to Regina, SK which became the main location where she lived her life. She attended O’Neill High School and graduated in 1981. Vesna married Tracy on August 14, 1982 and lived in Regina until 1987. Tracy and Vesna had two children, Joshua and Mathew. At that time they moved to Balgonie, SK where they continue to live. The boys married and before long, Vesna’s precious Babina Dusa (Granddaughter Avery) was born, like a storm in the night.
Vesna was a passionate and active member of the Croatian Club. She danced in the Mosaic’s as a teenager and volunteered as Club Coordinator and President for over 20 years.
After raising her boys and working at Luther College for 20 years, Vesna embarked on a new career. She completed her Business Office Education Diploma and moved into the Ministry of Justice Department as a court translator, court clerk, and administrative assistant. She finished off her career with Legal Aid Saskatchewan and retired in October 2017.
Vesna’s job as a cook became both a hobby and a passion as she shared her love of cooking with all those around her. She was always willing and quick to share her amazing talent and recipes. No one was ever able to walk away from her cabbage rolls!
Vesna’s joys in life were spending time with family and friends. She loved travelling and sharing her home country Croatia. Her granddaughter Avery, otherwise known as Babina Dusa, has brought nonstop delight to her and Tracy.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Balgonie, SK. Private family interment to follow.
