Wesley Clark

On Monday, October 21, 2024 at noon, Wes’ name was called by his Friend and Redeemer. Wesley was born on July 8, 1944, in Claresholm, Alberta to David Albert and Grace Clark at the end of WW2.

Wes grew up on a grain and poultry farm in Craven, SK. He attended a one room school house at Kennell school until high school when he moved to Regina to live with his maternal grandparents and attend Scott Collegiate. He graduated from STI in Moose Jaw and was employed by Sasktel until his retirement. Following retirement, he moved back to the farm caring for his parents until their passing.

Wes loved to travel. He skied, jogged, swam, and snowmobiled. He loved to toss a football with his little brother after work. His love of sports was noticeable! He would discuss stats and game outcomes for hours. The Roughriders were his team! Then there was the string of fast cars in the 60’s and 70’s – the purple Challenger being his favourite! And of course there were his beloved fur friends!

Wes is predeceased by his parents Bert and Grace. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Jim (Sonya), and Carol (Gord) Burke; nieces and nephews Rory, Brendan, Daniel (Jenny), Andrea (Aaron), Meaghan, and Joseph; their children Chloe, Caleb Wesley, Avery and Elodie.

Known as a gentle, always kind, deeply spiritual, trustworthy man, we will remember him for his quiet, uncomplaining endurance, and as a prayer warrior. During the last few years of his life, he resided at the Marian Chateau and College Park residences. We are most thankful for the special care given to him there and to those who cared for him while at the Pasqua Hospital and the Wascana Rehab Hospice.

Wesley will be laid to rest in a Private Family Gathering with a Celebration of Life to be held in the spring of 2025.

He has received his “Well done” and his Victor’s Crown and we are rejoicing with him!
