Working with Dennis for the past 6 years, I realized that I spent more time with Dennis than I did with my own family.  I have been attempting to write the most meaningful and sentimental memory, but every memory I have is filled with humor.  Dennis has been here for 15 years and if you had a technical question, he could eventually find your answer, but if you needed a discounted cruise or airfare or wanted to stream movies before they even debut at the theatre from your phone to your TV, he was a technical wizard!  The way he navigated his way to a discount was like an artist to a canvas..    When we traveled for work, our company required roommates.  Dennis and I always roomed together...  Being roommates with Dennis is like not having a roommate at all.  Somehow, in the early hours of the morning Dennis would wake, shower and leave the room without a sound or trace.  Like a Ninja, it was like he was never there.  I can't even begin to count the amount of times that I have seen Dennis tug at the side of his pants while uttering the phrase, "because I wear these," in an explanation as why or how something was done   

Dennis was always such a good friend to me and the more that I have spoken to others, I quickly realized that everybody felt this way.  Dennis was a good friend to everybody!  To Dennis' family and Friends,  I can’t even imagine the pain that you feel and I am so sorry for your loss,  but I am very thankful for the time that we spent with him

I've worked with Dennis for over 15 years and I could probably share a pretty choice memory for every day of every one of those years. He was quirky. There was his insistence that Darrin Ruf was a potential Hall of Famer if he only got the playing time he deserved. Once he walked up to me, said "Ruf hit 2 homers yesterday", only to discover he hit them for the Nippon Ham Fighters of the Japanese league. He was eternally optimistic about the Phillies, and over the last 15 years they had some bad, bad teams.  Maybe they should have played Darrin Ruf more. 
He had an interesting conversational style that was irritating, yet fascinating. Essentially, whatever it was you had to say was just wasted time until it was his turn to speak. No pause on my part was too short for him to interject his opinion. I often wondered if it was necessary for me to be in the same room. His selective hearing was truly world class.
His diet was legendary. It was limited to meat, more meat and a side of meat. He bore a personal grudge against mayonnaise and most other condiment. He claimed to eat tons of veggies, but when challenged to name them, his first example was corn, which I'm not sure is a vegetable. There was something green he claimed to eat, maybe green beans. I never witnessed him eat a green bean, and we shared a lot of meals together.
He was a resource for everyone who was planning a trip to anywhere, because he claimed he could find the absolute best deal, although some of his deals were sketchy at best. He once found me a room in Key West for $24 a night, and that included a hair dryer. I passed on that one, but many of our co-workers took advantage of his deal finding prowess and had fabulous vacations, for which he took full credit.
We shared a love of Ocean City, NJ, and I wish we'd spent some time there together. I'll think of him when I'm down there now, because I know he loved the sea, and I hope he is close to the water, wherever he is.  

We met in 1966. He was my first Love and gave me the most wonderful gift, my children.  As we started to grow up we also grew apart and went our separate paths in life. Dennis always had a very special place in my heart and always will. 
My family will always cherish the memories we shared with him. 
He will be missed by all of us.
