Donna Marie Steiger

Donna M. Steiger, 75 of Newmanstown, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center Bern Township where she was a patient. She was married to her husband, Jan D. Steiger for 57 years. Born in Hornell, New York, she was the daughter of the late Louis Croston and Lucille M. (Lovell) Croston-George. She was also predeceased by her step parents, Claude C. and Mary (Fisher) George.

She was employed in factory work and retail jewelry sales in the area for many years until retiring. She enjoyed playing bingo and camping. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Janelle D., wife of Paul L. Dietrich III of Mohrsville and Nancy L., wife of William T. Dietrich of Reading. Also her son, Jan D. Steiger Jr., husband of Brenda Hengst of Lancaster. Also surviving is her sister, Claudia, wife of Ronald Krauter of Bechtelsville and her grandchildren: Heather Kaufmann, Paul Dietrich and Jessica Steiger. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Desirae Mitchell and Lucas Kaufmann. She was predeceased by her daughter, Robin Ann Steiger; her grandchildren, Jana P. Dietrich and Billie-Jo Dietrich and her brothers, Robert M. George and James M. George.

Services will be held in Auman's, Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reiffton on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends and family may view on Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. To send a condolence online, please visit: www.aumansinc.com.
