Gloria (Palladino) Schmeck Weber, 95, of Pennside, PA entered eternal rest on Monday, February 1, 2021. Born November 16, 1925 in South Philadelphia, she was a cherished daughter to the late Anthony and Anna (Ditizio) Palladino.
Gloria married her 1st husband Donald Schmeck in 1962. The couple moved to Reading and they owned and operated Schmeck's Market on Carsonia Ave.; now Redner's Markets. They also owned and operated Schmeck's Villa, Jacksonwald; where Gloria was the head chef until 1982. Gloria and Donald then moved to Florida and owned and operated several auto franchises.The couple shared 28 years of marriage together before Donald's passing in 1990.
Gloria enjoyed the warm weather and for many years spent her winters in Florida. She also loved to travel. Spending many vacations visiting Hawaii, the Pacific and Caribbean Islands and going on Caribbean and European cruises.
Gloria met Joseph Weber in 2004 and they married in 2016.
Gloria was a very generous, friendly and feisty woman. She was at her best being social, always engaging in conversation and giving compliments to her many friends. Gloria was always dressed to the nines, even if it was a simple food shopping trip to Giant; where she always got a cookie from the bakery.
Gloria's spirit will be carried on by her beloved husband Joseph L. Weber; life long friend Richard Schwenk, 2 nieces Connie Stanchak, of San Diego, CA; Barbara Quinter, of Laureldale; nephew John Sireci, of Deptford, NJ; brother Anthony Palladino and his wife Lisa, of Daytona Beach, FL.; and 2 stepdaughters Pamela Weber; Amy Hafer and her husband William. Gloria also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Rebekah Bomenka and her husband Joe, Anthony Piergrossi, Kara Hafer, Sarah Hafer, Lauren Hafer; 4 great grandchildren Avrie, Benjamin, Dylan and Sofia and several grand nieces and grand nephews to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents and her 1st husband Donald, Gloria was greeted in heaven by her 5 sisters Lola, Julie, Frances, Florence and Rosie.
A viewing for Gloria will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Mass of christian burial will promptly commence at 1:00 PM, with Father Zachary Wehr officiating. Entombment will be private at Laureldale Cemetery.
