Angelita was born to Federico and Luz (Santos) Delansig on August 4, 1942 in Manila, Philippines. She married her husband Pamfilo "Phil" Soriente Sta. Maria on June 24, 1962. Together they had three children: Arnel, Gil, and Jean. In March of 1968, together with her children, Angelita joined her husband, Phil, in Seattle, Washington where Phil was working as an engineer for Boeing on a work visa. They both proudly became US citizens and made their home in Queen Anne Hill and Renton.
Angelita's number one mission and goal in life was to build a better life for her family and children. Although she was self-conscious of her English, Angelita courageously worked as an Avon Lady, and nurse's aide to help make ends meet while Phil was laid off from Boeing in the early 1970's. She later had a career as a Water Quality Technician for Metro before retiring.
Angelita loved to travel (especially cruising) and was blessed to visit much of the world. She also loved flowers and gardens and enjoyed the gorgeous garden that her husband Phil cultivated.
During her last weeks, Angelita shared with her family how happy she was, how proud she was of her children and grandchildren, and how grateful she was for the many blessings that God has granted her--providing comfort and love just as she did throughout her life.
Angelita is survived by her Husband, Pamfilo Sta. Maria, her children Arnel (Mary) Sta. Maria, Jean (Steve) Carwin, and Gil (Imelda) Sta. Maria; her grandchildren Melissa (Paul) Puguon, Matthew Carwin, Nicholas Carwin, Joshua Sta. Maria, Emily McLaughlin Sta. Maria, Elena Sta. Maria, and Andrew Carwin; her siblings, Procerfina Talavera, Minerva Bayaca, Luzviminda Jusayan, Reynaldo Delansig, and Eleanor Delansig.
