Curtis Hopkins was born on February 01 1976 in Seattle, Washington to parents Curtis (Hop) and Sheree Denise Hopkins. He was their first child, and they were overjoyed with pride.
He graduated from Nathan Hale High School (go Raiders!). Curtis was a hard worker and believed that he was the one to provide for his family. Equipped with that attitude he participated in employment such as forklift operator and flashing. He also enrolled in courses at Highline College to stay updated in the field. He worked at Snoqualmie Casino, as a cook (and he could cook!), and janitor. Whatever the employment, he would give it his best.
He liked watching the Seahawks games, and when the Super Sonics were our team, he cheered them on as well. He loved hanging out with his family, traveling with family and friends, and having mini parties/get togethers…
He met the love of his life (Dudd/Babe), Kenya Sims in 1991, and the rest is history. Curtis was the proud father of four children, a son and three daughters. He spent quality time with them…traveling, doing all kinds of family activities, outings, barbecuing, going to the lake and eating out.
Curtis is preceded in death by (mom) Sheree Denise Hopkins, (uncle) Brent Ingram, both maternal and paternal grandparents. Curtis leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Kenya Hopkins,
(son) Shondre Hopkins, (daughters) Acacia, Lashea and Lamaria Hopkins. (Grandchildren) Maliki and Sariah Hopkins. (Dad) Curtis Hopkins, mom (Patricia Ann Hopkins). (Siblings) Ebony Alfreda Ellington Lewis (Marlon Lewis), Violet Marie Ellington (Eric), John Pierre Hopkins, Marsheia Aisha Hopkins-Tunkara (Haruna Tunkara), Jhalia Charmaine Hopkins (Will Gray), Darrel Reon Carter, (mother-in-law) Sherry Ann Sims, (sibling in-law) Brandon Sims, and Leila Sims and a host of family, friends, and colleagues.
Curtis, you will forever have a special place in our hearts. We love you.
