Dora Kidd was born in East St. Louis, Missouri on March 25, 1924 to the proud parents of Mr. Otis and Mrs. Lucile Burns. Dora is the eldest child of four siblings. Dora as a child enjoyed many things but she truly enjoyed reading the Bible daily to later become a self-educated woman. Dora was a very vibrant, outgoing and witty young lady who became a teenage parent at a very young age later to become married to Mr. Milton Kidd Sr. Dora and Mr. Kidd packed up the three children and headed for a new life in Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Milton Kidd transferred his career to Bremerton Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington in the early 1940’s. The Kidd’s packed up the family to begin a new start, in a new city to become future homeowners.
Dora became a full time home maker to ten wonderful children and began working in the medical field until 1984. Dora was a blessed teacher and we all are thankful for her UNCONDITIONAL love. Dora cared for many patients yet one was extremely special to her whom was the father of the founders of a well-known construction company. Dora retired proudly from Restorative Care in 1985 and soon after her husband passed in 1986.
After her husband’s passing she became the grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother to many children. Dora opened her heart, her home and shared her time with a many of kind words to help us all.
God called home our mother, our grandmother, our ROCK, our QUEEN, OUR GLUE that held this family together....MAMA ALWAYS LOVED US ALL UNCONDITIONALLY. Remember to keep GOD FIRST so “NO WEAPONS FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER."
