Dorothy was born in Roslyn, Washington on February 21, 1917 to parents Ivan Turk and Ankarodj (Ana) Stanfelj.
She graduated from Cle Elum High School, in Cle Elum, Washington, and moved to Seattle around 1948.
Was married to Vinco Stimac, Jr. for 55 years at the time of his death on June 14,1997
She was a clerical worker, and retired from the Boeing Company.
Dorothy moved to Boise, Idaho, when she married Wayne W. Gearhard of Boise on January 30, 1999
She leaves behind her son, Michael V. Stimac; Granddaughter: Jennifer N. Stimac
