Earle Jerome Johnson was born on June 13, 1948 in San Francisco, California to his parents Mr. & Mrs. James L. Johnson Jr.

Earle was the second eldest, he had two brothers and one sister who he adored. Earle accepted Christ and attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Oakland, California.

Earle earned a scholarship in track and field to San Jose State University. Pledged Omega Phi Si (Que Doggs) Fraternity. Graduated with a degree in business administration.

In his college years Earle was an all-round athlete. Excellent in golfing, bowling, baseball, and a master at track & field, sprinting, relay track, 100, 200, 300 meters dash.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda S. Davis-Johnson, his mother, Ruth G. Johnson, Son Aubrey Franklin and grandson Elisha Franklin, Sister Anna Johnson, two brothers James Johnson and Bruce Johnson, and 3 sons by marriage, Phillip Locke Jr., Saybre Locke, and Dwight Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.

Earle graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and moved to Seattle, after winning a cooking competition he was offered a position as the Executive CEO/Chef for Holland America in Alaska which he accepted for 4 years.

He returned to Seattle, hired at Jazz Alley as their manager, then moved on to 13 Coins as their manager.

Earle decided he wanted a stress-free life and he applied as an associate of Home & Electronics. He was promoted to manager in 2018. He worked for Fred Meyer for 20 years.

Earle was a proud father of his son Aubrey and his grandson Elisha both living in Texas who he loves very much.

Earle loved Twinkies, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate shakes and Black Panther – Wakanda Forever.

Earle met his love, Linda Davis-Johnson, in the bakery department at Fred Meyer after 2 years she became his wife, they were soul mates for life.
