Milt and Evie were members of Rainer Ave Free Methodist Church. It is here that they came to know Jesus as their personal Savior and met many dear friends. Evie loved welcoming people into her home. Many Sundays after church people gathered for dinner and fellowship. Her house was always open to family, friends, or anyone else who wanted to join in. Evie’s house was constantly packed with people, laughter and music. Her children would get together and sing hymns and songs while her boys played their guitars. Evie always had food for whoever came and she enjoyed all the activity and singing when they got together.
One couldn’t help but feel loved around Evie. She valued people and relationships. She loved playing with children. She fostered many babies and young children. Evie loved it when people came to visit She especially loved it when her great grandchildren visited. She always wanted to be in the middle of whatever they were doing. She did not want to miss out on anything. Evie was nurturing, lighthearted, caring and her children never heard her complain. She loved the Lord and was always a reminder of His grace, kindness, and compassion. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile will be missed.
