

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Glen P. Beitzel. Glen was 70 years old at the time of his passing on May 6th, 2025. He died peacefully surrounded by family. He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, who touched the lives of many.
Glen was born in 1955 in Highwood, Illinois, the son of Robert J Beitzel and Evelyn C Burgess.
Glen graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1973, then joined the military that same year. He was a member of the United States Navy serving as ENFN (Engine Man Fireman) until he was Honorably Discharged in 1976.
Glen drove semis for the United States Postal Workers as a Motor Vehicle Driver, then Supervisor in Motor Vehicle Service. He worked with the United States Postal service for forty (40) years until he reached the milestone of retirement in 2018.
He is survived by his first wife Edith Beitzel, their daughter Sherryl Beitzel, brother Bob Beitzel, step daughter Brandi Phillips, step granddaughter Alyssa Wyckoff and stepgrandson Jordan Phillips, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Glen is preceded in death by his second wife Georgia Beitzel and their son Kristian Beitzel. Glen also left behind his beloved dog KODA.
Glen was stationed in Subic Bay, Philippines where he met his first wife Edith and her daughter Sherryl. Edith and Glen married in 1976 and moved to Everett, Washington where they lived with his sister Cathy.
After arriving back in the United States, Glen adopted Sherryl as his legal daughter in 1978 and he moved his family into their own home, the same home Glen lived out the remainder of his life.
In 1991 Glen met his second wife Georgia and her daughter Brandi. Glen and Georgia married in 1993 and had a son, Kristian.
In his younger years Glen had a passion for fishing, and crabbing. He always enjoyed the opportunity to wake up early and spend the entire day out on the water in hopes of catching a big Salmon or a string of trout for dinner, he loved to cook. He enjoyed it when friends would gather at the home for a nice Barbecue, or to watch his beloved Seattle Seahawks play. He also loved to travel and enjoyed frequent trips to Mexico.
He was a proud member of the Eagles Club where he often spent his time.
He will be missed dearly.
A memorial service honoring his service in the military followed by a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
