Gwenyth Arlene McCluskey

Gwenyth McCluskey passed away on December 8th, 2020. Gwen was born in Ferndale, WA on the Fourth of July, in 1925. Gwen married her husband, Roy McCluskey and together they raised five children. When her children were grown, Gwen worked as a medical transcriptionist at the Veteran’s hospital in Seattle.

Gwen was a woman of many talents! She loved sewing and quilting. If you knew Gwen long enough, you or your children were probably gifted with one of her many beautiful quilts. Gwen loved her faith and was very active in the Church of Latter Day Saints, May Creek Ward. Gwen was an amazing woman! She was kind, caring , compassionate and had a heart of gold, She was fiercely independent and strong willed which one would have to be to live to 95 years old and still live an her own! Gwen was loved by so many and will be so missed!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McCluskey . Gwen is survived by her sons, Roy (Jaynanne) McCluskey, William (Robin) McCluskey, daughters Mary (Dan) Smith, Nancy (Ed) Dailey and Ellen McCluskey, eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Special thanks to Gwen’s special friends, Dick and Louanna Cook whom Gwen loved dearly.

Also, thank you to Evergreen Hospice and staff at the Chateau who provided care and comfort to Gwen in her final days. Due to COVID no funeral is planned at this time.
