Mom not a day goes by without me thinking of you. I visit with you every weekend.I talk to you just about everyday. I am so happy to see you had a lot of friends who care about you. Mom I miss you, and love you so every much. It's going to be the 4th of July and I can see you outside with the hose in your hand ready to put out the fire, and a broom so you can clean up the mess. I sure do miss those days.We are coming up on a year now. Duane and I bought a house in Maple Valley near you. I wish you could see it.  I miss you, and think about you often. Grandma,

It's still hard to believe that you are really gone. I have so many great memories of spending the night, watching wrestling and Springer while eating neopalitan ice cream. We've had so many good times.. You've taught me more than I can remember and plan on continuing many recipes for generations. Lately nothing has made me happier than spending the mornings with you and Heladia. Giving me advice you'd hold her in your arms. 

It's these memories and many more, I will cherish now and always.

Go ahead and give Aunty Judy a little break in heaven's kitchen.

Dear Hilde,

I am so glad that you were able to say goodby to your intimate family from Germany and here. Sorry to say I missed it.  A chance I will never get again.

I love you Hilde, and want to thank you so much for not only being in my life but also in my parents.  You were the best daughter in law that anyone could have.  My parents loved you so much and now are, I am sure, shooting the breeze with you.  You honored them and me too, with your wonderful cooking and loving care.  Mom loved going mushroom hunting with you.  And I thank you so much for your help when Mom was sick with Alzheimers and Daddy had such a rough go of it.  Your help for me was a godsend.

Yes, when others say that family was important to you, it sure was.  That and straightforwardness. You always cracked me up with it.  You are a person to emulate.  Always kind, never really complaining, strong, loyal and funny.  Thanks for those gifts. And did I forget the best damn housekeeper around!  Now I know to use a toothbrush in the corners of my carpeting!

Steve and I were so lucky to meet Hilde and Walt Brazelton in Germany when we were stationed there "a few years ago". Hilde quickly took us under her wing and made us feel at home. We will forever remember her friendliness, her wit and her wonderful cooking.  Hoping that her family finds comfort in knowing that Hilde holds a special place in so many hearts. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to know her and her family.  Though very sad she is gone, we hope that the many traditions and memories she leaves with so many will offer comfort. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

You did so much for the family, always so giving. I'm so thankful to have had you as my Grandma for so long, I wish it were longer. I'm glad you're not suffering anymore, & in a better place. I'm going to really miss calling you for help with recipes. You are one strong woman Grandma! I Love You & I Miss You.

I met Hilde and her family many years ago when I traveled to Germany with my mother to attend her daughter Judy's wedding to my brother, Randy.  Hilda was welcoming to us and she opened her house and those of her relatives across Germany.  I will never forget her hospitality, nor that of her brother and sister as we traveled abroad.  You all have my deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss.  In addition, my parents (Russ and Mary Robinson) send their sympathy and condolences as well.  Sgt. B and Hilde's grandson, Christopher, has kept us informed over the divide in Montana.  Peace to Hilde and healing to the family.

I would also agree with Pauline, about a favorite memory of her mom. She was so very funny that night and I had never, seen her go on and on the way she did that night. Well Hilde, I will never foreget you, because that memory is something you can't foreget.
