

Joyce HASTY Joyce Hasty died 08/23/10 at 7:15 PM from complications with pneumonia. She was born March 2, 1927 in Lewistown, MT the daughter of Effie Wilson and Russell Norcutt. She moved to Billings MT in 1930, where she attended school and began her career in communications. She began her civil service career working for Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT., relocated to Missouri early 60's and then to Washington state mid 60's, where she retired from Boeing in early 90's. During the Vietnam War she used her communication skills to support our military personnel making it possible for them to talk to their loved ones. She was their pin up girl. Joyce was a Christian, taught Sunday school, was an Eagles member, served as Treasurer for the Boeing Psychic Club and Secretary for the Boeing Singles Club. Her favorite color was purple. She enjoyed Native American culture, metaphysics, genealogy, DreamFlight I and II by Herb Ernest, and loved to dance. She was very creative and enjoyed making cards, dreamcatchers, quillows, painting shirts and crocheting towels. She was a very spiritual and giving person and always had room for one more. She was united in marriage three times during her life to 'Hoff' Hofferber (Air Force), Harry Grant (Army) and Wayne Hasty (Air Force). Two of her husbands, Hoff and Harry, her parents, her son Dana Grant, a brother and sister were among those who preceded her in death. She is survived by six children, Dennis Hofferber (Nevada), Randy Hofferber (Arizona), Terry Grant (Montana), Sherry Grant, Edward Hasty and LeiLani Gratland (Washington), two brothers, Russell Norcutt and Richard Torgensen and four sisters, Carlyn Holland, Linda Schneider, Rita Cooper and Judy Young (all from Montana). Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Joyce Hasty will be held Friday, August 27, 2010, at 12:00 Noon at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave. NE, Renton, WA 98056 www.greenwoodmempark.com.
