Joyce is survived by her brother Harold Gary Beat, 81, of Jerome, ID. Her daughter Tamara and Alex Lepeska and their children Brendan, Brittinni, Zechariah, and Janitza. Her daughter Christina and Dennis Kelly and their children Jonah, Connor, and Sadie (daughter-in-law). Joyce’s great-grandkids are Acadia and Leo. Joyce also loved her grand fur babies (Tamara’s family) cat: Ry Ry, and dogs: Gizzer puppy and Little Pea. (Christina’s family) dog: Oly.
Joyce was born in Twin Falls, ID in 1943 and raised on a farm in Eden, ID where she loved to help her mom in the kitchen. Joyce loved cooking, gardening, and her cats. (at one point on the farm she had 48 cats … momma loved it). Joyce graduated from Valley High and then worked at a few places in Twin Falls. Joyce married Jerry Parks and had her two girls.
Joyce moved to Washington in 1978 until her passing. She graduated from college with a degree in office management, then worked at Washington Vocational Services where she retired. Then in 1980, Joyce received Jesus as her Lord and Savior where she then joined the Sanctuary church with Pastor Reuben Sapien. It is there is where she met Jack Morrison and married, they celebrated 25 years of marriage; when Jack passed in 2012. She then went on to live with her daughter Tamara and her family for the next 10 years.
Joyce loved the Lord and served Him in her calling in hospitality. Joyce was a blessing to many women.
For the last 10 years Joyce enjoyed shopping and spending time with her daughter Christina and her family. Joyce lived and spent many hours with her daughter Tamara in prayer and bible study growing and learning what the Lord was teaching them. Joyce has left a great legacy for her family in praying and reading God’s word and to always put Jesus first.
As the dementia progressed, her memory declined and she became bedridden. Despite all of that, Joyce still remembered her Jesus and her faith. Joyce will be missed very much by her family and friends.
Momma stood on this verse… “First submit to God; Then resist the Devil and He will Flee.”
