

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Beret in 1975, his parents, and two brothers, Walter and Roy.
Mick was the oldest of eight children. Three brothers, Walter, Roy, and Barney Hunt and four sisters, Viola, Mary, Bertha, and Maxsine.
After high school he became a Merchant Marine mostly working between Seattle and Alaska. From 1950 to 1974 he worked for Isaacson Iron Workers and Earl M. Jorgenson Companies. From 1953 to 1955, Mick served in the Army and then in the reserves until 1961. He then started his own business called 'Mick's Services' for over 30 years doing light hauling and moving. In the process, he made many new and close friends.
Mick enjoyed hunting and fishing, but fishing was but his favorite. From salmon fishing in Neah Bay to trout fishing in high mountain lakes and streams, Lake Hancock being his favorite. Hunting deer on Lopez Island was a tradition for over 50 years for Mick. In the early 50's, Mick enjoyed fixing and racing stock cars in western Washington with his friends until going into the Army.
He is survived by his ex-wife Trudy Hunt; his three sons Stephen (Lorrie), David, and Melvin (Toni); 9 grandchildren, Curtis (Tina), Michelle (Alan), Cory, Gary, Bary, Andrew, Eric, Ashley, and Blake; 10 great Grandchildren; his brother Barney, and 4 sisters Viola, Mary, Bertha, and Maxsine; and may nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday 6/11/13 at Abbey View Memorial Park located at 3601 Alaska Road in Brier, Washington, 98036.
Remembrances may be made to American Red Cross.
