Im feeling some nostalgia now as I think back of Polly and Julie.  Im sorry Jerry for your loss of Polly and also the sudden loss of Julie.  Julie and I were friends since the age of 12.  We would, as adults, go our separate ways. Polly would always  welcome me back in to her and her families lives. Im sorry for your loss of your wife and sorry for your loss of Julie. Many years ago, when I worked part-time at the Tacoma Mall, I would have just enough time between busses to stop in to a restaurant on 26th & Proctor and have a cup of coffee and conversation with Polly on a regular basis. What a special lady with a big heart, humor and efficiency.  Oakland was more enjoyable for students as well as staff because of Polly.    The service with the photos told a lot about the dedication Polly and Jerry had for each other and the family.  May fond memories sustain family and friends at this time.

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of your mother.  I have so many fond memories of visiting your house in Tacoma and Aunt Polly was there to clean up our messes...even when I had too much spaghetti. My family and I spent time with Polly and Jerry a few times over the past 2 years. My father Andy brought her back into my life. I have many memories of her, Julie and Loren from my childhood but lost touch over the years. Polly, Jerry, Andy and Sandy came to visit my family and I last fall and brought china that was Andy and Polly's Mother's and Grandmother's. I will cherish these items more now. I was overwhelmed when they came in our house with these boxes of gorgeous china. I went out right away and bought matching hutches for the china. I told my children the story of where the china came from and we have used them many times. In my adulthood, I never had the chance to spend time with Polly but I cherish the 2 times my dad brought her to my house to spend time with my family and I. Andy's daughter Amy...

Jerry and family, we have enjoyed the wonderful humor and love shown by both Jerry and Polly.  The Memories they have made will carry over to help ease the pain of loss. Memories are forever..the friendships will never be forgotten. Our prayers are with you all at this time.  What a beautiful of Polly!  Just as she always smiled!

Polly steped off an airplane in San Angelo, Texas in 1963, on the arm of my big brother.  I was 12 and not sure about sharing my brother, but she was so gracious and let me follow her around like a puppy, I decided she was ok, and could stay!  We have been sisters in law, and friends for a long time.  I will miss knowing that she is there if I want to talk.  Thanks for being my big sister,  Barbara
