

Sam (Sammy) Beasley passed away peacefully while at home in Renton, Washington on December 18, 2025, at the age of 75. In his last days he was surrounded by his wife, family and friends. A talented musician, writer, businessman, and a mentor and inspiration to all he met, he will be missed beyond measure.
Sam was born in the Central Valley town of Exeter, California. He grew up in Stockton and Brentwood, California. Music was a central theme in Sam’s life as he pursued and explored various careers. For the last 38 years until his retirement he worked as a counselor, educator, and was an owner of multiple businesses. He served on the board of California Association of DUI Treatment Programs. Sam was an accomplished writer, and author. He co-wrote and published three books, two of which he co-authored with his wife Suzanne.
He lived a life of service and he was involved in many community organizations and recovery programs. His charitable services and time was spent in support of his passion for justice and equality for all people especially women and children, and the underserved members of our society.
Sam was an incredible singer and song writer, and recorded many original songs.
He is predeceased by his parents Homer and Patricia Beasley formally of Brentwood, California. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Lorenz, his step-children; Andrew Alvarez, Marina Alvarez French and husband Lorcan French, Adrian Alvarez and his wife Jessica Alvarez, his grandchildren Róisín French, Cormac French, Maddox Alvarez and Avielle Alvarez, two sisters Pamela Beasley McLaughlin and Sharlee Beasley and the vast array of close friends and strangers who have been changed by his contributions to their lives.
He will be cremated. The family will celebrate his life in an event at a later date.
