Shirley Susan Olson

Susan lived the majority of her adult life in Albuquerque, New Mexico and worked from the late 70s to the mid-80s for the public schools teaching chorus. She then went on to have a career selling insurance and obtaining licenses as a certified life underwriter and a series 7 stockbroker. After her retirement as an insurance agent, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and then to Houston, Texas before moving to Renton, Washington in May 2022.

Susan had a love for music and spent many years as a musical director for the Church of the Good Shepherd in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Susan was married to William Mueller, Lieutenant Colonel United States, Air Force retired and had two children, Amy Mueller and Michael Mueller. She was also married to Detlef Phillips.

Susan is survived by her sister, Dana, and her husband Ron of Point Venture, Texas, and their daughter Robin, Susan’s daughter Amy, her two sons Josh and Dalton, and their wives Justine and Mikaela, great granddaughters James and Jovie, and great grandson Luca, as well as Susan’s son, Michael and his wife Jennifer.

A celebration life service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 30 at The Lodge at Gencare facility in Renton Washington.
