Wilfred S. Ruiz

The world lost a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Wilfred is survived by his two children, daughter Shamaine Coffee and son Michael Ruiz and wife Tina Ruiz. He is also survived by his brother, Gil Ruiz and wife Lillian Ruiz, sister Nibia Ruiz with Donna Summers. Wilfred is also survived by his four grandchildren and three nieces.

Wilfred was born in New York and raised in the Bronx. He moved to Washington in 1979 where he brought his east coast larger than life personality. Wilfred was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his craft as a HVAC mechanic. He recently retired from the Lake Washington School District where he worked for over 22 years. Anyone who knew him professionally or personally most likely acquired a nickname from him. He made everyone laugh and smile wherever he went.

He was a dedicated father and grandfather who was always willing to help his family. He never missed an event, big or small, he was always there for them no matter what. He absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren, he was so proud to be Mr. Grandpa!
