Eric Dale McCoy

Eric “Hobo Soul” “Malachi” Dale McCoy, age 40, passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Rennes Health and Rehab under the care of hospice. He was born June 18, 1972 to Joseph and Linda (Johnson) McCoy in Texas. Eric loved traveling and seeing the world by riding the rail cars. He was a very generous person, always helping others out in any way he could. Eric had a deep love for animals, especially dogs; he always had one by his side. He was an excellent singer and guitar and harmonica player.

Eric is survived by his mother, Linda (Paul Kracht) McCoy of Elcho, best friends, Dan (Rose) Ottman and Sean O’Brian and his K-9 sidekick, snuggles. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles and several friends on the road.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Tracy Swartz.

There will be no formal service for Eric. A memorial has been established at the Oneida Animal shelter and may be direct to the family.
