

James Robert Hagen, age 55, died Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born June 7, 1957 to Charles and Norma (White) Hagen in Rhinelander. Jim graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1975. Jim worked for Dainels Packaging for 37 years. He enjoyed baseball, hockey, fishing, hunting, watching the wildlife outside his home and he loved his dogs, Sylvester and Sassie. He wanted to be remembered as “the guy who helped kid with cancer”. He held benefits for Maddie McLauglin, Leanna Kossack and Easton Senorake and two Friends Helping Friends fundraisers with the help of the Marshfield Cancer Center.
Jim is survived by his mother, Norma, his brother, Paul (Jan) Hagen both of Rhinelander, his nieces and nephews, Erika, Kristen, Grace, Anja, Brad, Ryan, Brian and Calvin, a sister in law, Traci Running and a brothers in law, Craig and Scott.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbi and his father.
A memorial service with be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Rebecca Niese officiating. Visitation with be Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Wednesday, June 5 from 11:00am until the time of service at the church. A memorial has been established in Jim’s name and may be directed to the family. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
