Robert J. Minder

Robert J. Minder, Sr. age 82, of Holcombe, formerly of Tomahawk, died April 26, 2013 at home due to a house fire. He was born January 30, 1931to Clyde and Ada (Patnode) Minder in Salt Lake, Minnesota. Robert lived in Tomahawk for 32 years, working at Pulp Mill until 1984 when he lost his hands in an accident. He then moved to Holcombe. Robert married Madeline Alsteen on September 17, 1956. He was an outdoorsman; loving hunting, fishing and camping. Robert was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children; Robert (Darlene) of Holcombe and Cheryl (Rick) Granger of Rhinelander and step-children, Gloria Turgeon, Howard (Terry) Miller and Rick Alsteen all of Rhinelander, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great-great son and a sister, Evelyn McCarroll of Iola, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline, his parents and siblings, Donald, Burt and Lela.

Graveside service will be May 31, 2013 at 1:30pm at Forest Home Cemetery with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home, 715-365-4343 is assisting the family with arrangements. All are invited to light a candle and leave an online condolence at hildebrandfhcom.
