Ruth Dorothy Barlow

Ruth Dorothy Barlow, age 97 of Rhinelander died Wednesday, July 13, 2011with her loving family by her side. She was born March 21, 1914 in Tomahawk to Alfred and Laura (Dean) Hein. She graduated from Rhinelander High School. She married Arthur Barlow on July 18, 1936. Ruth was a lifelong member of St Augustine’s Church. She was involved in stunt night, original member of Hodag Honeys, member of Oneida homemakers and 60 years as voting clerk. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and also spending time on the Wisconsin River in the summer, she loved doing crafts, making afghans, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Kay (Bill) Halvorson; her son Arthur (Barbara) both of Rhinelander, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Susan Jensen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St Augustine of Hippo Church at 10:00 A.M. with Father Dean Einerson officiating. Burial will follow at Northland Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
