Robert Alexander "Alex" Bescos of Garland, Texas, aged 30, passed away at his home in Richardson on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Born on July 30,1993, in Mckinney, Tx, he was the first son of Robert and Gretchen Bescos. Alex was the older brother of Brandon Lewis Bescos and a wonderful uncle to his nephew, Ryder Bescos.
He was raised in a suburban neighborhood in Garland called Camelot and was in the Berkner graduating class of 2012. He was a loving person with a huge heart and an amazing older brother. He loved being outdoors and would have rather been sleeping in a hammock than in a bed.
He was a great friend to those around him and made it a point to be there for anyone in need. “One of his friends described him as ‘one of the most athletically talented and genuine individuals I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.’” Among his passions were fishing or riding BMX, a love he shared with Ryder, as he made sure his nephew always had the best in equipment and shared his masterful skills. Growing up, he and his father bred reptiles. At times the house felt more like a zoo, but he loved hanging with the animals almost as much as he did riding BMX bikes. From a young age he was our daredevil who would quickly figure out how to do any new tricks he might have seen- from pogo stick, to unicycles, to bikes as he would master them in rapid fashion. In so many ways, he was amazing.
Alex was preceded in death by his father Robert Bescos, as well as grandparents Jess and Packy Bescos, and Lewis and Mary Gorman. He is survived by his mother, Gretchen Bescos, his brother Brandon, and nephew Ryder, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He truly loved his friends and family, and will be missed by many.
