

Ann Whorton Forester was born on January 25, 1933, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to C.B. and Rita Whorton, and died on January 9, 2013. She grew up in Sweetwater, Texas, where she was involved in her church youth group, tennis, cheerleading, and choir. She went to Southern Methodist University and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. It was there that she met her husband Bill Forester. They were married on June 7, 1952, and had three children. They resided in Dallas, Texas, and Green Bay, Wisconsin, while Bill played for the Green Bay Packers from 1953 until 1963. The duration of their residence was in Dallas, Texas.
Ann had a vital relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ. She served Him throughout her lifetime in various capacities. She was a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, Dallas, taught at the church’s summer camp for several years, and led numerous Bible studies in the Dallas metroplex. She served on past boards for Criswell Bible College and the Downtown Pregnancy Center, and was a chaplain for Marketplace Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Byron Forester, and sister-in-law, Sally Forester. She is survived by her son, Mike Forester and his wife Jan, Alpharetta, Georgia, and their children: Matthew (wife Kelly), Michael, Daniel, Elisabeth, Rebekah, and Anna; daughter Danell Sims and her husband Billy, Paint Rock, Texas, and their children: Meredith Powell (husband Clay) and Jacob Sims; great-grandchildren Jackson Forester, Katherine Forester, and Landry Powell; brothers Dan Whorton, Jerusalem, Don Whorton and his wife Reta, Dallas, and brother-in-law Herschel Forester, Dallas.
Memorial service will be held January 12, 2013, at 10:00 am, First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Dallas, Marketplace Ministries, Downtown Pregnancy Center, or favorite charity.
